Barbados by boat

A warm sunny day and a wonderful boatride to the north of the island.

We started at Consett Bay, and made an hour and a half trip across the sea aboard the Triple Star. Ribbons of Sargassum seaweed floated by throughout the journey, but that didn’t get in the way of the divers who hauled in food fresh from the ocean.
All along, flying fish appeared, skimming and flying over the deep blur salt water.
The divers as we pulled up to the jetty. Offloading and cleaning the freshly caught food, before drinking ice cold malts from the shop.
Every now and then, the seaspray laps at your toes as the boat skips along the sea. There’s no traffic on the water – only a vast blue carpet where the sun is your roof and the breeze, a blanket.

A new perspective and refreshing reminder of how small we are in the vastness of Creation. Land view from the sea.
